We can't wait for you to join us for our biggest meeting of the year! We will have a Keynote Speaker, Breakfast, Vendors, Raffles, and tons of networking! Free to Members of the Anderson Oconee or Pickens local SHRM Chapters, and only $30 for any guests.

Keynote Speaker:

Our speaker for this event will be Attorney Sarah J.M. Cox with Burnette Shutt McDanial Law Firm out of Columbia, SC. Ms. Cox will be sharing what she has seen as an employee rights attorney that could help benefit employers. Her talk titled "Employment Law Pitfalls for Employers: AKA How to Keep Your Mountains Molehill Sized" will focus on common ADA, FMLA, Tiltle VII, ADEA, and Pregnant Workers Fairness Act issues she has seen blow up and cause major issues for employers who could have easily PREVENTED their liability by enacting simple and thoughtful processes. As she leads us through these easily avoidable but costly mistakes she will share tips and tricks on what we can do as employers to make sure our employees don't end up seeking her services in the future.
